Massey Ferguson, a brand of AGCO, is a global farm machinery manufacturer. Massey Ferguson was formed in 1952 with the merger of the Massey-Harris and Ferguson companies. Massey Ferguson grew significantly through the following decades; building tractors globally and licensing their design to a number of companies. Financial difficulties in the 1980s led to Massey Ferguson being broken up and the farm machinery group purchased by AGCO in 1995, which continues to use the brand.
